The packaging provides optimum protection for sensitive products. Inca S.A. was looking for a visual solution for its new product catalog – but without traditional photography. Instead, it turned to Staffel Medien with an innovative request: realistic 3D renderings of its products.
Haris, photographer and 3D artist at Staffel Medien, received 28 sample boxes by post to create exact digital models based on them. The aim was to generate high-quality, cropped product images – without camera clicks, but with maximum precision.
So why 3D instead of photography? The advantages are obvious:
First of all, the flexibility: images can be rendered in any desired resolution – from large-format print data to small web previews. With or without background, as a single image or series, customizable at any time. Even color variations – such as for closures – can be implemented in no time at all.
Another plus point: purity and consistency. 3D renderings are free from dust, scratches or reflections. There is no need for time-consuming image processing afterwards. In addition, the digital models can be used for animations, 360° views or augmented reality – a powerful tool for modern product communication.
Once created, the 3D models can be used long-term and in a variety of ways – consistently and in line with the brand.
