30 years of Staffel Medien AG: For us and for you

To mark the 30th anniversary of Staffel Medien AG, we have set ourselves the goal of celebrating the anniversary with our customers, suppliers and employees despite the coronavirus pandemic. We want to attract attention and bring joy during the anniversary year.

With the know-how of our specialists from the business areas of strategy, creation, online and offline, we put together a successful campaign.

How, when and with which online and offline tools do we successfully achieve our goal?

We will be happy to guide you through the individual steps and show you how an idea can be successfully implemented with a competent partner and a good plan. As we are happy to do for you what we do for ourselves, we would be delighted if we could also work for you.

Logo Design & CD/CI

Do we stick strictly to our traditional CD/CI or do we create something completely new? The logo should clearly signal that a special year lies ahead.

Concept to realization

Approach to the design of our anniversary logo. The aim was to show that it is our 30th anniversary, but to remain true to the original logo.

The discussion was whether to show it in the claim or make it a more prominent part of the logo. Another important decision was whether to keep the existing color scheme or replace the color green with gold.

The 20th anniversary cries out for gold, even though the “pearl” has only just been reached.

As you can see, there were some happy birthday hat ideas, confetti, different color versions and layouts with or without a claim.

Our original logo has a horizontal and a vertical version. Adding the number 30 would stretch the horizontal logo too much, so we decided to keep only the vertical version.

To make the logo more interesting, we have slightly overlapped the numbers 3 and 0.

The final logo remains true to our original logo, but also clearly shows our 30th anniversary.

The Staffel Medien AG logo is basically kept very reduced and with clear lines. The font with the sail and the claim in fresh green.

Here you can see logo ideas and drafts that we developed, rejected and also hotly debated in the course of this process.

In the end, the green 30 won. We liked the visual game with “30 solutions ahead”.

Final logo solution

Now we need a color version for the CD/CI that is usable for print and screen. There is also a pure black version and a negative version for printing and display on a dark background.

3D visualization

We had various ideas for using some interesting images in the media. Cake with candles in number 30, illuminated advertising on the wall and balloons. We found the balloon idea the most interesting.

The pictures show the four stages of 3D visualization.

Sketch: The first step is to draw a rough sketch. Decide on the angle, the arrangement of the elements and an appealing composition.

Modeling: The most time-consuming step is modeling the 3D models required in the scene.

Setting up the lighting: The next step is to decide on the lighting setup to be used in the scene.

Materials and rendering: The final step is applying the right materials to the objects and rendering (computer generation) the final image to be used in production.

Multimedia

This step is the most fun process. Once we have a 3D scene ready for production, all kinds of outputs are possible. Different viewing angles, different resolutions and the creation of animations. The idea for the image was to have confetti in the final image, so we decided to animate the explosion of confetti for the animated video on our homepage. We added slight movements to the balloons to ensure that the final animation could be created as a seamless looping video.

To increase the speed of the website, we decided that the mobile version of the site should only show a static image, but for the tablet and desktop version we kept the video.

Print

We decided to start our anniversary year with a special New Year’s card. We used the golden anniversary photo for this, as the festive image is perfect for the turn of the year.

Many questions arise at the beginning: How can the map be made interesting? Which size and which paper to choose? Foldable – yes or no?

The answers were not immediate, it was a process. Various decisions were made, tested and discarded until we finally achieved the perfect result. We opted for a personalized folding card in A5 format on MulitArt Silk paper with a weight of 350 g/m². The golden lacquer coating on the large 30, as well as the printed envelopes, for which we opted for a special paper made from grass (FSC), provided that little bit extra.

We have also given our existing “StaffelWaffel” and “StaffelBox” products a new design so that they can also be printed to coincide with the anniversary. And not forgetting the labels for our highlight, the Staffel Medien anniversary beer.

Marketing

We have planned various marketing activities for the entire campaign. With these, we aim to increase brand awareness and strengthen our image. We would be happy to give you a few examples.

Offer packages: Our customers should also benefit during our anniversary year. We have therefore put together packages with a clearly defined scope of services that are tailored to the needs of our customers.

News articles: We regularly publish news/blog posts on our website, with industry and customer-relevant articles. In this way, we bring added value to our customers and underline our expertise.

Newsletter: We want to stay in touch with our prospects and customers through regular e-mail newsletters. An easy way to maintain contacts and draw attention to yourself.

Image brochure: A newly designed and modern image brochure is intended to draw the attention of interested parties to our services and expertise and arouse their interest.

Gift box: We surprise our customers with our self-designed and produced gift boxes such as the StaffelWaffel or the SweetBox. A nice, personalized surprise and also an idea of how the recipient could gift their customers.

An impression of possible marketing campaigns. We adapt the ideas to your goal.

To showcase your product even more, the 3D objects can also be used for videos and animations and, in combination with music, create even more emotion.

Social Media

We want to celebrate our 30th anniversary throughout the year and the various social media channels offer the right platform for this. This not only attracts more attention, but is also remembered.

We also opted for the golden anniversary photo as the cover image for the various channels. We use the channels Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google MyBusiness, depending on the post.

It is important to have varied content with different photos, videos, interviews, links, etc. In order to implement this throughout the year, we have drawn up a plan of which posts should be published and when. Of course, this is constantly being supplemented with new ideas, such as various events from our founding year 1991.
